You deserve to know who you are learning from and how the work you see is created. Set Point Science is built from my lived experience, my research, and my training in psychology, and I want to be transparent about how AI fits into my work. This page is a simple, honest look behind the scenes.
I am a real woman behind this brand. I am a mom of three, my husband works out of town during the week, and I am rebuilding a business after cancer and a complete life reset.
I have always struggled with writing (see: my C- in freshman prose comp). I am naturally very verbose, which you may already know, and getting my thoughts out in a clear and organized way has always been a challenge for me.
Menopause has made this even more entertaining. I always recorded selfie videos on YouTube because it was the only way I could get my thoughts out without freezing.
In my previous business, I paid a lot of money to copywriters and contractors because writing is not my strong suit. I needed help with editing, organizing, structuring, and clarifying. Without support, I would get stuck and lose momentum.
AI has changed all of that. It helps me shape my ideas, clean up drafts, and move faster, so that I can spend more time on what really matters, which is coaching, creating the method, and serving you. Without AI, I would not be able to relaunch this business at all. This is my honest truth.
AI does not create my story.
AI does not decide what I believe or teach.
AI does not choose the direction of Set Point Science.
Every concept, every framework, every personal story, every insight comes from me.
If something feels personal, it is.
If something sounds like my actual voice, it is.
If something feels like it came from lived experience, that is because it did.
If something reads a little like AI, know that it began as chaos, intuition, and truth inside me, and became clarity through my shaping, judgment, and revision.
AI is a support tool. It works quietly in the background so I can protect my energy, stay present with my kids, and still bring you thoughtful, sophisticated work.
AI helps me:
• Edit my writing so it is clearer and easier to read
• Shorten long drafts and remove repetition
• Structure complex science into simple, teachable steps
• Outline and first draft podcasts and video scripts that I then rewrite
• Keep track of ideas, notes, and research
• Replace many of the small tasks I used to hire multiple contractors for
I always review and edit anything AI supports. If it goes out with my name on it, I have seen it, shaped it, and made sure it reflects my exact message.
Before AI, my drafts are messy, unfiltered, and full of spelling mistakes, run-on thoughts, half-formed ideas, and rapid-fire brain dumps. This is simply how my mind works. I have a lot to say, and it does not always come out cleanly on the first pass. (See: my YouTube channel from 2014-2024.)
Below are real examples of raw prompts from me, exactly as they start.

Real stream-of-consciousness notes, captured through voice-to-text, before structure and revision.
This is my starting point. AI helps me shapes my thoughts into something you can actually read without needing a cup of coffee and a decoder ring.
I want to be clear about something, because it matters for the kind of work we are doing here. I am not a PhD or a lab researcher, and I do not pretend to be. My strength is not academic theory in isolation. My strength is lived experience, paired with a deep respect for science.
I rebuilt my own relationship with hunger after decades of deregulation and binge eating. I did not learn this from books. I learned it by living inside the patterns, sitting with urges, trying what actually worked when nothing else did, and slowly restoring safety and regulation in my own body. Over the years, I refined those discoveries through coaching hundreds of women through the same process. That is how this method was born.
At the same time, I am a nerd at heart. I care deeply about understanding how the brain and body work, especially the neuroscience and psychology behind hunger, safety, and regulation. I study the science not to sound academic, but to explain why this work is effective. The science is the support beam, not the storefront.
This is where AI comes in.
AI helps me organize research, clarify concepts, and double-check that I am explaining things accurately. It helps me translate complex psychological and neurological ideas into language that real women can understand and actually apply in daily life. AI does not create my method, replace my judgment, or speak for me. It strengthens the bridge between established science and lived human experience.
I still remember the moment that bridge fully clicked. I once asked my AI assistant, “Is there a psychology term for overeating something just because you told yourself you shouldn’t have it, or someone else told you not to?” The answer was simple and powerful: "reactance". In that moment, I realized many of the tools I had created out of necessity already existed in the research world. I had arrived at them through lived experience first, and found the science later.
My realistic planning method is another example. It was born from not being able to resist certain foods, so instead of restricting them, I learned to plan for them on purpose. The emotional charge faded. Regulation replaced control. Only later did I discover that psychological research supported exactly what I had learned the hard way.
When I began graduate school for my master’s in psychology, everything connected. Concepts I had been teaching for years suddenly had names, frameworks, and decades of research behind them. That confirmation mattered, not because it validated me, but because it strengthened the integrity of the work. And it was the catalyst for my creation of Set Point Science™.
AI helps me clarify and organize the science behind this method. But the insight, interpretation, and application come from me. The science explains why the method works. Lived experience is what makes it practical, compassionate, and transformative.
Without the AI bridge for me today, this work would be theory that I would never be able to articulate.
With the bridge, it becomes real, sigh-of-relief change for many women.
Here is the real behind-the-scenes process.
1. I start with my own thoughts, ideas, notes, journals, client sessions, personal stories, and research.
2. I brain dump everything. It is long, messy, and emotional.
3. I use AI to help organize the chaos into themes, an outline, or a clearer draft.
4. I rewrite, add real stories, refine the language, and make sure it sounds like me.
5. I do a final pass to check accuracy, clarity, tone, and emotional nuance.
The heart, the originality, and the intellectual direction all come from me.
Trust matters. Especially when we are talking about your body, your relationship with food, and your nervous system. I want you to know exactly who you are learning from and how this work gets shaped.
I am using modern tools to support my work, and I am deeply committed to honesty. I will never pretend that something is handwritten if it is not. I will also never hand off my message to AI and walk away.
AI allows me to show up, create consistently, and rebuild this business while raising three kids. Without this support, I would not be here creating Set Point Science™ in the way you experience it today.
AI helps me stay more human, not less.
If you are a client or a member, your privacy matters to me. I do not paste your personal details or identifying information into AI.
I use AI to support my thinking, writing, planning, and preparation for coaching, not to share private or identifying information.
If you ever have questions about how I use AI or if something I share brings up mixed feelings, you are welcome to ask. I would rather have an honest conversation than leave you guessing.
